Bee Removal From All Spaces

Bees often build their nests inside tight spaces, such as chimneys, roofs, wall cavities and others. Once inside, they can cause structural damage and be incredibly difficult to remove.

At Acorn Pest Management, we have worked for many years removing bees from properties of all kinds. We have worked on everything from large sites to listed buildings, and know how to carry out bee removal effectively. Some established bee colonies have been in residence for several years, but our experts have been able to safely remove them and relocate the bees to private bee hives, where local beekeepers will take care of them.

The Importance Of Professional Bee Removal

Bees might be responsible for pollinating all plants and helping the world’s food to grow, but that doesn’t mean that you want them on your property. Bee nests can cause significant structural damage, and they can also sting. While bees will die after stinging, they will do it if they feel threatened, and some people can be allergic to bees, causing them significant health issues.

Bee Removal FAQs

Are Bees Protected?

While bees are an important part of our ecosystem, they are not legally protected in the UK. Still, Acorn Pest Management aims to aid bee conservation by relocating bees so that they can’t cause issues when in close proximity to humans.

What Months Do Bees Swarm In The UK?

Honey bee swarms are common during warmer months from early May to late July. Bumblebees don’t swarm, but bee season is from mid-April to mid-October.

How Long Do Bees Stay In One Place?

Different species of bees spend different amounts of time in an area. When honey bee colonies become too large, some of the bees will swarm in other areas to scout for a new nest site. Once they find a suitable place to build a nest, the honey bee nest will last indefinitely and can remain for 3 years or longer. Bumblebees don’t swarm, and a bumblebee nest only lasts for one season, which is just a few months long.

What Happens To The Bees Once They're Removed?

Acorn Pest Management will relocate your bees to our private hives so that the bees can continue to thrive, but without causing issues to you and your property. As such, the bees won’t be harmed, and you can avoid stings and potential irritation from bees.
